Our Peru Organic is spicy with a silky body and balanced acidity. It is heavy in spice and black pepper notes on the front and finishes with notes dark chocolate and some vanilla sweetness. As it cools, the body gets a little heavier and notes of bread develop in the finish.

Story: This coffee is sourced from the region of Cajamarca, from a co-operative established in 1999 that consists of 2,000 coffee farmers. The co-operative believes strongly in investing money and training to improve the quality of the coffee being grown, which, in turn, will increase the farmers earnings.
This is an excellent bean if you like low acidity. The product description says "dry acidity" but I do not detect any acidity at all. It's a dark roast but not overdone.
Probably my single favorite McLaughlin bean/roast. Dark, usually oily, rich aroma, full bodied with no acidity that I can detect. My family's go-to brew.

By far and away my very favorite coffee. I've been drinking McLaughlin since 1993 and somehow this coffee escaped me. I just discovered and now I can't get enough!

This has be a staple in my house for a couple years now. While I get adventurous and explore other flavors, I always grab some bags of Peru.
Smooth but bold with a balanced acidity (no wincing here).
