It all starts with quality green coffee. We source outstanding specialty grade coffee from around the world. We don't compromise on the quality of beans that we put in the roaster.

Roast to order

Fresh roasted coffee is the best coffee. We never roast weeks ahead. We only roast a coffee when we need it to fulfill an order. You can taste the difference freshness makes in the cup.

Attention to detail

We are meticulous in our roasting process. We pride ourselves on the consistency of our roasted coffees. Small-batch craft roasting is our specialty.

May Coffee of the Month:
Java Estate Jampit

Our featured coffee for May is a complex and bold washed coffee from the Jampit Estate in Java, Indonesia. We roast this one medium-dark to bring out the richness and low acidity that Indonesian coffees are known for. The first notes you'll taste are sweet chocolate malt, followed by a brief herbal hint of sage or pine in the middle. Toward the end, it moves into a darker black cherry flavor and finishes with a nice toasted marshmallow sweetness that pairs wonderfully with the lingering chocolate notes.

Our Signature Roast - Max's Blend

Max's Blend is our signature roast. Designed to be bold, smokey, and complex, this is by far our most popular coffee and has been a staple of the Bay Area for over 30 years. Max's is on the heavy side of body with very little acidity. The cup starts with an immediate punch of smoke. As the smoke fades, dark chocolate notes appear with some dried fruit sweetness and notes of vanilla cream. The finish is very long, bold, and smokey with notes of peaty scotch.

Seasonal Offering: Superbloom Spring Blend

Our Superbloom Spring Blend is back for 2026! This blend of coffees from Ethiopia is bright and fruity with a medium-light body and a wonderful balance of sweetness and acidity. Notes of strawberry limeade dance on your tongue from the beginning of the cup, balancing sweet strawberry with a touch of lime tartness. In the middle, notes of white nectarine add a light stone fruit sweetness before fading into the finish. The finish is long, fruity, and slightly dry with notes of sweet lime and dried mango, which adds a lingering tropical fruity sweetness mixed with subtle peppery spiciness. This seasonal release is one of those coffees that gets better with every sip.
