It looks like FedEx Smartpost is back on track. Last week we saw a couple shipments taking up to 10 days to be delivered just here in the Bay Area. As of this morning, it looks like the local hub is back and we are seeing the shorter 2-3 day delivery times for Smartpost that we are accustomed to. Good news!

We are up to date on web shipping orders. All orders placed before 8AM today have shipped or are ready for pickup. We are down to a skeleton crew and we do expect a large volume of orders on the weekends, so there may be a delay in shipping from our warehouse at the front end of each week. Thanks for your understanding.
Also, please note that if you are ordering from our website using the Fedex Smartpost option, they are currently experiencing longer than usual shipment times. At this point, Bay Area shipments are going through a hub that is farther than usual. This is adding 1-2 days of shipping lag on that specific shipment method.

At this point, we are modifying our hours going forward. Our business hours for the foreseeable future will be as follows:
- Monday - 7AM-12PM
- Tuesday through Friday - 8AM-12PM
We will have staff on hand every day to take and process your orders. If you call and get our voicemail, please leave your order and a callback number so that we can confirm the order and give you a delivery/shipment date if needed.
We will communicate directly with any delivery customers if there will be a change in your delivery day. At this point, we are not making any changes.
For web and shipment customers: Due to the reduced hours and volume of orders, we are having some delays in shipment. We are doing our best to get the coffee shipped ASAP. Please expect a day or two delay in shipment for online orders. We thank you for your understanding.

We are modifying our hours for the next couple business days:
- Friday March 20 - 7AM-12PM
- Monday March 23 - 7AM-12PM
We'll be evaluating our hours next Monday. We will likely continue with that schedule with a skeleton crew going forward, but we will add an update here on Monday.
We don't expect this to add additional delays to shipments, but the volume of orders will help to dictate that, again we will keep everyone updated.
Be well everyone!

These are truly unprecedented times, and it's been a crazy week here in the Bay Area. We want to update you on what is happening with our business and what steps we are taking to keep our family of employees and customers safe in this time of uncertainty.
We have been working full time roasting and providing coffee for the local markets and grocery stores, in addition to all of our partners who have transitioned their cafes and coffee shops to take-out for the duration of the shelter-in-place. We are also still processing website orders and we are shipping them as soon as we can.
A lot of people have been asking about our parents, Mike and Barbara, who are both over 65 and at home self-quarantining. They are in good health and working remotely here and there. When the sun is out, they are probably working in their garden too.
At the roastery, we are following the CDC recommendations and taking extra precautions to make sure that everyone here is healthy. We have no known exposure for any of our staff, and we are monitoring our team for symptoms. We are thankful that our facility already has a low risk work environment. Each employee has his/her own workspace, and we have a small staff for the footprint of our production area.
We are not conducting any tastings at this time for new customers or as a team. We have the front door locked, and we are limiting access to our production area to essential vendors only.
We understand that coffee will continue to be an important part of our coffee lovers' lives for the next few weeks, and will hopefully give us all a little comfort. That said, our priority is to make sure that all of our employees and customers are safe.
It is a very uncertain and fluid time, and our plan will probably change as the days go on. We will continue to provide coffee for individuals, cafes, and on our website for the duration of the shelter-in-place, but we will be modifying hours. We also may make the decision to possibly work partial weeks and send shipments on certain days of the week. As each day unfolds and we have to make these decisions, we will make announcements on the top of this page so that everyone will have the latest information and so you can get your coffee to help get you through this unique time in our history.
Our relationships with our customers are unique, and we are thinking of you and your families in during time. Be safe and healthy!
