ETHIOPIA YIRGACHEFFE ORGANIC FAIR TRADE
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is one of the most celebrated single-origin coffees in the world. This Yirgacheffe is light-bodied with an acidity on the higher end for a medium roast. The acidity pops on your tongue right from the start with notes of lime and white peach. The acidity begins to sweeten in the middle of the cup with notes of guava and melon. The finish has the sweetness of pastry and honey. This is an incredibly complex coffee for a single-origin coffee.
Roast Color: Medium
Cupping Notes: Lime, Tropical Fruit, Pastry
Story: Our Yirgacheffe is grown by a cooperative in the Gedeo subregion, in the southern district of Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. This 41-year-old co-operative has approximately 900 members who produce coffee on small plots of lands inter-cropped with banana crops.
This is another go-to varietal that we really enjoy. Great flavor. We alternate between this and the Sidamo for a change of pace.
After trying out various medium roast McLaughlin coffees, this one stood out and has become our everyday morning coffee for the past a couple of years. Really like it!
This is so good, I've considered a tattoo! ;)
I've been periodically buying McLaughlin's Ethiopian Yirgacheffe for almost a year and I love it. This coffee doesn't seem acidic like some of the darker roasts. It's become my go to morning coffee!
