My husband and I were completely surprised by the smoothness of Fast Freddie's, that I've already ordered more, which arrived on my very last scoop! Great timing. We sit and savor every sip that after 25 years of drinking an espresso coffee, we've decided that Fast Freddie's and all the other coffee's from Mclaugphin's I ordered will fill our cabinet!

I've tried Red Sea and Max's. This one is the best balanced for my palate, although I like them all.

We've tried all kinds of McLaughlin coffees, and have settled on two favorites. One of these two faves is Fast Freddie. It's robust and dark, but also balanced and it doesn't over-do the sour or bitter flavors. Quality and flavor is the primary reason we continue to buy this; bonus that it supports a local charity. :-)

First off, we love trying all the coffees at McLaughlin's but we come back to the ones that are dark and oily, let's face it: they grind up better (less static electricity) and they give us the rich flavor we're after. Used to be obsessed with Max's Blend (also lovely) but Fast Freddy kicks us up to the next level of caffeination and rich flavor. May not be looking back!

This review serves two purpose. Firstly, it is to remind myself which coffee to to get again when it is time to re-order. Secondly, also to remind myself of how delicious this coffee is. I prepared a travel mug of coffee daily and made this for the first time. I was at work when I reached out for a sip, the kind of subconscious motion your body do when you are focused at work. The moment I tasted this coffee though, I stopped. I became aware of how good this coffee tasted. You do not need a refined palate to pick out subtle notes of chocolate or nuances of brown sugar. It is right there. I haven't enjoyed coffee like this for a while now.

I've been an avid fan of Max's Blend for many years because of it's bold flavor, but I've got to say, Fast Freddie is now my "go to" coffee. It's full of flavor with no bitterness.

I drink coffee for the taste and not the buzz. This coffee taste so good, you can drink it black. No after taste. No tange that people mistake for fruity. It is so smooth without the jitters.
